Just struggling between ENT and Neuro for my IIH. I had a lumbar puncture last week with opening pressure 17, and struggling with low pressure headache after two days by that time my Pulsatile tinnitus was not there. For few days it is like I have either one of them pulsatile tinnitus or low pressure headache. Currently taking 750 mg acetazolamide. For my pulsatile tinnitus neuro says check with ENT and ENT says check with neuro. Does anyone have pulsatile tinnitus even after remission?

I F26, on 2025 August I started to have pulsatile tinnitus in my right ear, went to HNO everything was fine. On 2026 April, went to a eye doc and they saw paps in my right eye and in the same month I was diagonised with IIH and lp was performed. My opening pressure was 31. They prescribed me Acetazolamide 250 mg/*2 a day. On June 2026 I had my neuro follow up and she raised my dose to 250 mg/*3 a day and suggested for a lp on august 2026. On july 2026 i went for my eye follow up, where they said my paps was almost gone. On August 13th 2026, I had my second lumbar puncture and my opening pressure was 17, and the doctor didnt drain any fluid as it was in lower range. Yesterday on August 16th 2026, after i woke up I had PT for few minutes and it went aways like it didnt exist at all, but there comes my head ache whole day similarly when I had in my first lumbar puncture just for few mins, in the evening time my headache was better and my PT returned. Today August 17th 2026, I feel the same pattern, my PT went away after few I woke up and my head starts to feel heavy. I have no idea why this happens, I am improving? Or this needs immediate medical attention? Does anyone experienced this, please help me how you handled this or what was the result of this?

I was diagonised with iih in april 2026 and had a lp on april 2026 itself. My opening pressure was 30. I had every symptoms of iih pulsatile tinnitus in my right ear, paps in my right eye and headache. I took medicine acetazolamide 500 mg per day until end of june 2026. I had my first follow up with my neuro and as I still had my mild headache she suggested to increase the dose to 750 mg. I had follow up with eye doc on July 2026 first week and they said my paps has been improved. After my 750 mg medication I didnt have headaches and my pulsatile tinnitus was varying day by day sometimes mild and sometimes same like earlier. At third week of July 2026 I had my period and I experience my headaches and my pulsatile tinnitus was very worse. Today morning, after I wake up I suddenly didnt hear my pulsatile tinnitus for around 30 mins if I stand or sit upright and unless I bend down. I am now confused whether this needs a medical attention or I am responding to medications? Can anyone help me what I am experiencing? Is this a sign of remission or something that needs medical attention?

Everything was fine until last year, I am 26 year old and having type 2 diabetes since three years. I was started to take tablets for my diabetes since 2025 April and on july end I started to have pulsatile tinnitus in my right ear. I initially thought it was because of some or wax in my ear and went to ENT who said everything is fine and asked to take MRI. In MRI also everything was fine by that time, my doctor thought it is may be because of B12, D and iron deficiency as I have Diabetes Type 2. Then I started to have head ache and when I went to regular eye examination my doctor noticed there was swelling in my right optic nerve. I was suggested to take MRI after several eye tests where nothing was found. My MRI reports confirmed my iih and I had a lp this year April with opening pressure 30 and they suggested to loose 10kg of weight (I am now 75kgs and 165 cm, earlier I was nearly 80kgs) and also prescribed 500gm Diamox and with a follow up examination they raised the dose to 750 gm. I had a follow up with my eye doctor who said my optic nerve swelling is reduced. My pulsatile tinnitus was also seems to be mild and I was very happy about that, as I wanted to have a baby. I dreamt that i will come over this with a strong mind, but since my last period my head ache and pulsatile tinnitus are worse and seems to be back. I am really loosing hope on this, as it is very tough for me to reduce weight eventhough i walk 10000 steps and eat less calories. Doctors are also advising me not to have a baby until I am out of this, but I am loosing hope about this.
