Dilapidated house in Bernal Heights, SF

Dilapidated house in Bernal Heights, SF

I'm not earnestly considering this (I don't think...) but I'm morbidly curious about 143 Prospect Ave in San Francisco. This is a ~700sqft 1900's house in Bernal Heights that's in pretty bad condition. I think a senior lived there and unfortunately the house fell into disrepair. Everything's peeling, there are literal holes in the wall, black spots everywhere (mold?), lead paint, maybe asbestos?

Any ballpark idea of how much fixing this would cost? Hundreds of thousands? Surely not in the 7 figures? I'm imagining this would require a complete gut renovation — perhaps even replacing some of the structural wood — but maybe some issues that look really bad can actually be fixed without starting over entirely...?

This is an estate/probate sale so disclosures don't really say anything. I assume that the discolorations are the result of extensive water damage, but I'm just guessing.

(Part of me wants to restore a dilapidated old house at some point in my life, but I suspect it could just be an endless money pit and fast path to bankruptcy...)
