Patio door rough opening shows 64.25" wide and 81.25" height from flooring (but flooring is just under half inch thick to concrete). Does this work with a standard size like 60x80?
In a townhome. I got a quote from a door guy and he claimed it was some custom size like a 63.5 or something which immediately smelled like BS because its a PUD home in a massive townhome community, the odds the builder was going 250 custom doors seems asinine.
Currently have a french door (only one side opens) that is rotting, one of those metal sandwiched on wood.
So pulled the trim, these are the measurements I got to the wood once I pulled back enough drywall and cut out a bit of spray foam. 64.25 width measured to the side framing. From the flooring up its 81.25" but I pulled the quarter round and slid my putty knife down and its just under a half inch before I feel like I hit the concrete.
Id really like to go to a fiberglass door as Im in the southeast US with the blinds inside the door and there are a ton of options if you are 60x80 so really hoping that is functional for my opening. Looking all over it sounds like it "should" but its hard with a french double door since I guess the framing can be various sizes.
