error codes with nds and 3DS games
hello! i’m an absolute noob at this, so i need your guys‘ help.
a couple of weeks ago i successfully modded my 3DS. i bought a 32gb no name brand off of amazon (yes i know, my bad, but it had good reviews!)
now i’m having problems with some NDS games. which one it is seems random, i always get a red screen with a „data abort“ message (not all though! some work totally fine!). with one particular game, i always get it when i started playing it already and start it for the second time. i get that it’s because of a faulty rom normally, but i redownloaded the rom from that game and same thing, first start up fine and i start playing a new save file and the second time, red screen.
a few other nds games have had the red screen too, but with those it’s right when i start it.
now, one or two of my 3DS games (installed via hshop) disappeared suddenly. i can’t even delete them from my settings, it only shows a question mark and that it uses up no capacities, but it’s listed, but no name. when i try to delete it, it doesn’t work. when i try to install it from hshop again, it says its already installed and whether i wanna reinstall; when i click yes, it shows an error too. i also get that that comes from a bad sd card. i’m right now checking mine with hw2test. i’m just wondering, is all of the problems above correlated with the SD card and if yes, can i copy all the data onto a new SD card? like, can i save the saves i have? or will that corrupt the new one too?
i do have a back up from my 3DS before it was modded. since then, i’ve put in 10 hours in a 3ds game from hshop. i’d love to keep the save, so is there any way?
(i am thinking of buying a sansdisk 64gb this time, im just a lil worried about formatting it)
