My collection of Kamisama Kiss manga; for now, Panini has released these eight volumes; the ninth volume will be released in November. 💓

The name Wren is of English origin, It comes from the word wrenna o wærna. Linguists link this origin to a Proto-Germanic root (wranjan-) meaning "male goat" or "stud," which is historically associated with the idea of being lascivious or very sexually active. Scientifically named Troglodytidae, is a very small bird known for its melodious song. So, in the case of the bird, the origin refers to the fact that they can lay a large number of eggs. It's also a unisex name.

Another interesting fact about the name is what it's associated with and linked to. In Celtic folklore, the bird was associated with musicians, poets, and writers because of its beautiful song. Wrens were believed to be messengers from the Otherworld. It was said that Druids raised wrens for divination. It was possible to interpret omens in the direction of the wren's song, in the case of the east, it was said that a poet or an inspired person would come to the home.

I think this facts is interesting because Andrew and Ashley have always been associated with rabbits, which also reproduce a lot. Also because we know that Andrew is a poet and studied English philology. So it makes perfect sense that their child is named Wren. It's clear that Nemlei carefully planned what name Andrew and Ashley's baby should have!
