I literally never understood the hype around him, sure he may be pretty and goofy but he's got a huge fandom for someone with such a shit personality.
-Literally tried to s/a nanami, simply because he could and he even kissed her w/o her consent to make himself her familiar while she was passed out (we can let that one slide though, because he was just trying to save her).
-Looks down on both yokai and humans, because he was born from an egg given to the water goddess Yonomori Mitsuha (his first lady before nanami) by the creator god Ōkuninushi. This apparently gives him a much more divine status in comparison with other lowly wild spirits like tomoe.
-In the beach episode (S1,ep 8), he slut shames all the women present on the beach for wearing bikinis, swim dresses,etc and says that men cannot be blamed for acting up on their desires, when these shameless women will prance around in such outfits. (gosh I hate him smm). •When nanami went to that double date/mixer with kei (S, ep 10), he expressed his disdain towards her and the girls for seeking out relationships/friendships with men and going out at night.
Due to the whole "there's a man" trend on tik tok I was thinking about all such characters and people were bringing up yamato and usui but no one mentioned him and that'd why I thought about writing this down. I had always felt this way about him ever since I had watched the anime back then, though I'll admit that after reading the manga I started hating him less but people preferring him over tomoe and kurama shall always be beyond me.
P.s:- His behaviour with unari, she lowkey deserves better than a nanami glazer.

For those who don't distinguish Nanami from Yukiji and Yukiji from Nanami, the pictures I've posted are all of Yukiji and Tomoe from the manga and anime themselves (only some pictures show Yukiji while Nanami was in her body, wearing the yellow and red kimono). All you need to do dear fan, is to read the manga carefully and do some research on the anime Kh fan book . The difference between the real Yukiji and Nanami who disguises as Yukiji is the hairstyle. Nanami's hair only reaches her back, while the fringes very shape , whereas Yukiji has very long hair with very straight fringes. Just a reminder, if Yukiji had black hair, she wouldn't have been able to deceive Tomoe into Pretending to be nanami . Furthermore, Tomoe met Yukiji and Nanami simultaneously, believing they were the same girl named Yukiji.😊

I’ve rewatched Kamisama Kiss like 7 times now, and have yet to find where to watch the Ovas 😭 so many websites have shut down since the last time someone has asked this, and I noticed a google file but those don’t play either. I just found out a Nanami nendoroid had been manufactured but they’re sold out and I’m in AGONY!!! this anime is in a weird in between where it’s niche but just popular enough to get decent merch and it kills me.
I wouldn’t be surprised if it was scalpers those vultures are everywhere…
