honestly i'm going kazuya here, shunsui gets rejected by a disgusted jugram, is a creep around his niece and fucks his zanpakuto spirit. the last one is particularly sad imo, like that's just a body pillow 😔 also i think shunsui might have liked ukitake but ukitake would never like someone who looks so old back. anywayyyy, if we compare this to kazuya he has an ex who isn't related to him (eat your heart out shunsui), and a budding relationship with chizuru (they've kissed before). on top of all this, he looks better than old man shunsui.

despite the title of captain commander being the most prestigious role in the whole of the soul society, absolutely nobody treats shunsui any better now that he has it. like nobody even calls him the captain commander 😭 they don't listen to him, they mock him, they think he's a weirdo etc.
i feel like it's cos they're alllll aware of how weak he is (robert victim), so him being promoted would be a huge letdown compared to yama. also shunsui definitely didn't help his image by spending his first time as captain commander in a battle situation trying to hit on jugram (seriously, how old and creepy can you get 😒. like jugram's so much prettier than the old and ugly shunsui, i bet he was laughing in his head seeing the old man stumble over his words and offer him tea the next time they meet. pathetic behaviour from bumsui honestly)
