[FOR HIRE] AI/ML Engineer — built and shipped a full computer vision pipeline on edge hardware — open to any AI role
Hi everyone. I am a final-year ECE student graduating in June 2026, finishing a research internship at Ritsumeikan University, Japan. I have spent the last several months building and shipping a production-grade AI system end-to-end and I am now actively looking for my next role or project.
What I have shipped:
- Full computer vision pipeline from scratch — person detection using YOLO, pose keypoint extraction using HRNet, and a graph neural network classifier (LSTM) running on top of skeleton features. Everything integrated and running on a single edge device with no cloud in the loop.
- Edge deployment on NVIDIA Jetson TX2 — optimised with TensorRT, hitting 63 ms/frame (15.3 FPS) with a 1.8x safety margin over the camera's capture rate. Real hardware, real constraints.
- Systematic benchmarking — 27 experiments comparing architectures across 9 dataset configurations (141,154 total annotations). Best result: 92.96% mAP on benchmark, 82.31% mAP under deployment constraints.
- Dataset built from nothing — no existing data suited the task, so I designed and built the entire labeling pipeline, frame extraction strategy and class structure from scratch.
- Research output — two manuscripts in preparation. Prior published/submitted paper on data augmentation for pose estimation in non-standard imaging conditions.
Stack: Python, PyTorch, OpenCV, TensorRT, scikit-learn.
What I am open to:
- Any AI role — ML engineering, computer vision, applied research, AI development. Not fixed on a title, happy to go where the work is interesting.
- Any format — full-time, contract, short-term freelance, or remote work.
- Location — fully remote or open to relocation.
If you are building something in AI and need someone who has actually shipped a system end-to-end — a DM, a referral, or even just pointing me in the right direction would mean a lot.
