Need to get CA LLC back in good standing with FTB after 10 years of inactivity

My spouse and I registered an LLC with the state of CA in 2016 through Legalzoom but then never did anything with it. We never made any money or performed any business operations. We also never filed any taxes or other compliance documents. It has literally just sat for the past decade.

We're in a position now where we want to actively use it. We've gotten back into good standing with the SOS but are not in good standing with the FTB. We can't even register for an account with the FTB portal because it wants to verify business info with tax return information from the past 5 years which we obviously don't have. Are we going to owe $800 for every year since incorporation? Is there a way to waive fees? This is all very alien to me. We started this LLC back when we were in our early twenties and had no clue what we were doing.

I'm worried it might be a wash and we'll need to start over with a new LLC, but we are very attached to the name and don't want to give it up.

I'm looking to get this resolved as soon as possible. I'd appreciate any guidance you all can offer!

Those of you who have reported site-level misconduct in violation of FDA guidelines and GCP standards, what was the process like? Who did you report to, what was the follow up by the bodies you reported to, and was there any fallout at work?

Looking for advice for a difficult situation… Thank you in advance.
