This is a WiP, but I couldn't resist sharing it. I'm reaching a style I really love with this piece, that mix of digital with traditional-style brushstrokes. Very happy with the results so far.

Regarding the character, I've already mentioned them a bit in my previous post featuring the same character in another pose. They are basically a protagonist of a worldbuilding project I'm working on.

i would love some feedback on this work.

it started has a rough idea, now i want to make a whole serie of different angles of this scene, similar palette probably, but with more thought and technic regarding perspective and anatomy.

"We Are What We Eat

What a fascinating act eating is. While our bodies ingest many substances passively, the act of eating is deliberate, sometimes selective, sometimes impulsive. Although there is a literal interpretation in this work about a figure consuming their own ideas, I am more interested in posing the question: What are we really consuming?"

Trying to make it a daily habit until i completely understand colors!

A 1hr color practice, i use a ref, the focus is on the color palette without using the color picker.

This are two practices specifically trying to match the Ref color, without using the color picker.

at the end i used the color picker to see how far i am of picking the right colors, but at the most i paint with the color that i choose.

Oh and im using some Oils brushes that im loving looking to use this brushes for my future works.

Edgar the Red Wizard is a protagonist in a personal IP (Amla) that I’m developing. He has a human form and a physical body, but he is primarily composed of near-infinite energy. He needs his gloves to control his magic and prevent apocalyptic events every time he needs to defend himself or attack. His staff, crafted from a branch of the world’s first tree, serves as the catalyst for wielding his magic and producing the effects he desires. Without it or if he’s unable to use it, his magic would become wild, emanating waves of energy so powerful that they would dissolve any attempt to create a controlled effect.

Edgar is a curious observer who tries to integrate into societies to learn from them in search of his purpose for existence. He is not hostile but has no issue resorting to violence if he or someone close to him is attacked or bothered without reason. He deeply enjoys philosophy and profound conversations. He is not interested in material possessions, seeking instead spiritual wealth and an understanding of the universe.
