Homemade guppy box
Hi everyone! I’m pretty new to keeping guppies, so I appreciate your patience with a beginner question.
I have four male guppies in total. One of them constantly chases another (a yellow male), seemingly misidentifying him as a female. Interestingly, my Moscow guppy keeps stepping in to break it up and try to keep the peace!
Someone suggested placing the aggressive guppy in a 'time-out' or breeding box for 12 to 48 hours to reset his behavior, so I have a box ordered. I am also picking up some Hornwort soon to provide more line-of-sight breaks and hiding spots for the yellow guy.
While I wait for the breeding box to arrive, does anyone have recommendations for safe DIY alternatives I can construct using common household items? I don't have mesh or fine plastic baskets on hand, so I need something he can't squeeze out of. Thanks for your help!
