Why are entry level part-time positions so hard to secure???

College student here, was wanting to get a full-time entry level position for the summer then switch to part-time during the school year.

Applied to over 40 listings on Indeed alone. Literally never heard back from any of them, except one that offered me an interview, then never followed up on it.

I’m well qualified for most jobs. After all, I’m applying to work in fast food, cashier, retail, etc. and most aren’t asking for years, or even months of experience. Just frustrates me to see how difficult this whole thing is. How am I expected to be a productive member of society when I’ve received rejection after rejection from places like MCDONALD’S…

Is it just a skill issue or what is actually going on?? (Will list experience/credentials if needed.)

Give Opinions: EMS(US)-60 vs US Tax Free(Actual Weight)

Haven't bought from Sugargoo in years. Previously, used US Tax Free(Actual Weight) to ship all my parcels and never got insured since everyone said the line was reliable enough. Parcel will be around 7 kgs once I remove the 2 shoe boxes.

Should I go with that or US Tax Free? Is being insured for EMS necessary? I've heard mixed reviews about their reliability. For context, I'm from the West Coast (USA) that's why the prices might be a bit higher than you'd normally see.
