Nice pro hair stylist/hair salon

I’m embarrassed since I recently got a bad haircut. I think it’s mostly an issue with choppy layers. Is there a friendly hair stylist you know or a good hair salon you could recommend to fix it or help me? I’m self-conscious about it. I plan to grow it out for a few months, but I would like to ask a professional about making it better for the time being. Of course I will pay the cost of a regular women’s cut and tip well. Thanks!
