I cannot take this seriously

Man I'm sorry but I'm reading how Egwene is getting "tortured" in the tower and she is high-key getting spanked with a slipper I started laughing to myself while walking and listening to the audiobook is Robert Jordan for real😭

EoTW all the way to KoD

I reached the 10th chapter of Knife of Dreams where Moraine's letter to Thom is revealed and Mat mentions he saw the tower of Ghanjei when he was riding on Domon's vessel, I was likE damnnn really?? So I went all the way back to EoTW and listened to Flight Down the Arinelle chapter and my god the nostalgia. It felt like we have come so far and I was mind blown when the tower is mentioned. I am not sure if I have seen the other things mentioned, such as the mountain with a crystal spear sticking out where any who come close dies.

What stood out to me the most was the level of Rosamund Pike's narration. My God she is on another level. With her tones or accents she brought the characters to life in a way no other narrator can.

Nothing happened?

Just finished CoT, and I am... confused.... Nothing happens? Like wow... Not a single plot is resolved? Not even the Faille plot?

Edit: Multiple people commented saying that's why it is the slog, but people said the slog starts in book 7, yet books 7-9 were actually okay, with a lot of highs. This book had no highs, nothing, I was even looking forward to Rand and Logaine's first meeting and even that was a nothing burger. I was betrayed giving this book the benefit of the doubt....

Aes sedai plot vs Rand plots and some things

I am more than halfway into CoT now and I just have a few questions I want to ask, but also some thing is bugging me. I think the reason the Egwene marching on white tower plot feels incredibly annoying to me is that nothing is happening when they have extreme upper hand due to traveling. They can literally open a gateway inside Tar Valon and just take the city within a day and the aes sedai in the tower won't see it coming. Meanwhile Rand had Sammael and Rahvin, forsaken mind you, expecting that and he still sent it on them. I get that there are conversations to be had on diplomacy and what not but my gosh it gets to a point where it is frustrating.

Aside from this, two questions I want to ask are:

  1. Is Flinn's healing of stilling on women just as effective as Nyneave's healing on men?

  2. Now that Egwene has managed to figure out making Cuendillar, which is something I was thinking about even before, why is there no Cuendillar equipment such as armor and shields? Why is it just cups and what not?

It's like every story arc I gave no shits about got squeezed into one book (except for Mat chapters, always fun to read Mat chapters)
