Been trying to figure out how to get rid of mice for about three months now and nothing is working. Tried snap traps and peppermint oil, still hearing them every night. We're in an older house in Ohio so I know there's probably gaps somewhere but I don't know where to start.
We just moved to Sacramento and the squirrels here are out of control. They're in the yard every day eating my tomatoes and I have no idea how to get rid of squirrels or how to keep them away for good. Tried cayenne pepper and a fake owl, nothing worked. What's the best squirrel repellent or deterrent you've used?
So we booked Cancun for late July and I'm starting to get nervous. Saw a bunch of articles saying 2026 is going to be a record year for sargassum and that the early arrivals already hit in January which is way ahead of normal. My wife found like four different forecast sites and they all say the same thing, peak June through August, with the worst hitting Tulum and Playa del Carmen.
We're staying somewhere in the Hotel Zone and now I'm second guessing the whole thing. The reviews from people who went last summer are split, some say the resort kept the beach pretty clean every morning, others say the smell was bad and they basically lived in the pool.
trying to figure out what's actually realistic for this summer. Is the north end of the Hotel Zone still ok? Are people having better luck up by Playa Mujeres or out at Isla Mujeres? And is it really worth switching now or am I overthinking this. Spent a lot on this trip and would rather know what I'm walking into.
