I'm starting to incorporate color more into my drawings (the pencils for this look like a hate crime without facial shadows and color differentiating the hair from the feather plus the gown looked like a bib) but feel like they're all in a transitional period until I can handle paint instead of colored pencils.

I started trying out washes and inks to make interesting monotones and keep making huge mistakes 3/4 of the way through that are completely unsalvageable. At this point, I feel like it's an art series more interesting than an immediate success.
