An actual step forward for our country's corrupt BIR and BOC

In the same spirit of the video I shared before about noble-prize-backed study on what makes countries prosper or fail, I always gravitate on ideas and people na backed by science or discusses nuances intelligently or actually share a concrete actionable pathway. I hope everyone would agree na ang batuhan ng mga opinions (which, most of the time are just emotional or misinformed) left and right ay entertaining and engaging, but doesn't actually move the discussion forward productively.

I feel like this is another one worth sharing and discussing, and specifically grounded on the Philippine situation.

Mon Abrea provides actual steps (and grounded basis for those recommendations) on how to improve and correct our country's corrupt taxation/revenue system. Hindi na lingid sa kalaaman ng lahat na BIR and Customs are the most corrupt institutions ng Pilipinas. Mon Abrea provides great insights from experience and study while providing concrete solutions.

Mon Abrea already had a similar interview with Boy Abunda 7 months ago pero parang di nagpick up masyado. I hope this time around mas mabigyan tong video na to ng pansin because this is a discussion (corruption on our country's main source of funding - taxation) that's part of the root cause of all the ills of our country.

The end to the "huwag mo laging iaasa sa gobyerno" excuse

Tapos na ang debate, confirmed na. Literal na may nanalo na - 2024 Nobel Prize in Economics.

Backed up by tons of data, isolating all important variables, removing all possible extraneous variables, and having the strict rigor expected from the scientific method. What causes a nation to succeed or fail throughout history is... the government, more specifically the reliable functioning and trustworthiness of its various intitutions.

I think this video and that Nobel prize winning study should gain more attention. It's as close to causation (not just correlation) we can get regarding the success or failure of nations.

So if the BIR is extorting you with unfair LOAs, police officers not protecting and serving, the courts not serving justice, or even yang public servant na feeling hari/reyna sa likod ng counter na nagpapakasasa sa aircon while you wait in line for the whole day is not providing good public service, know that they are the cause of the failure and deterioration of our nation. And you have all the right to complain, hold them accountable, and demand good public service if you care for your own progress and the success of your country.

Treasurer-in-Trust Account (TITA/F) help

We've applied for a Treasurer-in-Trust Account (TITA - for corporations with ongoing SEC applications) at Security Bank Santolan branch, and it's been almost 2 weeks but the application is still under assessment.

So I asked around sa mga konting kakilalang may corporation, usually raw TITAs are approved within 3 business days. So we're kind of stressing what the hold up is with our account.

Any bankers here who can help us? Preferrably Pasig Santolan/Rosario/Manggahan area. Ang intention naman is to turn this TITA into a corporate account once SEC registration is done so we'll end up as the bank branch's client.

I attended a pre-recorded workshop and I saw this stock screener being used by the speaker. Can anyone here tell me what website or app this is from? I normally use Morningstar and Finviz, but it always helps to have other sources of information. Thanks in advance.
