Changing shoes, drop height, and alignment
AKA with OI and X3 knee. Only been walking for about a month. When my initial alignment was done I was wearing shoes with an 8 mm heel to toe drop height. I have been wearing the same shoes since then. Now I want to wear some different shoes but I am wondering how much higher or lower can I go in terms of drop height without requiring an adjustment by a prosthetist. For example, is switching from 8 mm to a shoe with a 10 mm drop fine? 12? 15? 5? Zero drop?
To everyone trying to choose a Premier League club
I started following the EPL towards the tail end of the last season and started doing some research and taking notes towards choosing a club. I hadn’t planned to publish them, but after seeing so many in here and other subreddits asking the same type of question, I decided to polish them up and put them online in case they are helpful for anyone.
A couple of key points for my fellow yanks:
- I know you want a rooting interest now in order to feel invested from the get, but listen to the people in here telling you to watch a bunch of football first. Resist the urge to choose a club before you’ve seen all the teams play. You don’t know what you don’t know.
- along with that, consider making your goal to settle on a team by the end of the season, so you can factor in all that you observe.
Hope both noobs and grizzled vets enjoy the piece.
Was TB1000A #51 played in JGB at Keystone 11/17-18/1975?
These are the shows that the “Let It Rock” compilation was compiled from, and also the version of “Tough Mama” from Garcia Plays Dylan. The tone is immaculate. Trying to find out what his gear was for those shows, it seems like details are fuzzy.
What I learned so far is Jerry bought TB1000A #51 in August 1975 and played it on One From the Vault and the subsequent fall JGB tour. At some point that guitar was damaged in the process of someone trying to add a middle pickup and it was sent back to the factory. But details about when exactly that happened and whose fault it was seem unknown.
What is known is he bought another TB1000 #164 on 11/19/75, two days *after* the Keystone shows. From this source: “During the Fall/Winter JGB tour break Jerry purchased #164 but its unknown if #51 was damaged already or if he sought a backup so he could modify #51. No pictures are known to exist of #51 being used after the purchase of #164. As Steve states, #51 was bought and brought to him, however the 2nd TB1000A #164 has proof of Jerry playing it on Drapers showroom floor that day in November of 75.” https://www.waldotronics.com/travisbeans.html
So the question is whether he was still playing #51 on those dates, or whether it was broken and he temporarily switched back to Wolf. Is there any photo evidence from the Let It Rock CD liner notes? Or can discerning ears say with confidence from the audio that he was playing TB1000A #51? All I could find was a comment on the Let It Rock CD on Discogs saying “Crystal clear recording of the Travis Bean/Mesa Boogie tone in all its glory.”
