Charge for extra day, caused by Hertz

I rented with my company to pick up and drop off at PIT. I decided to drive home after the meeting and our travel desk contacted Hertz about changing the drop off to a location in Cincinnati (not the airport).

I drive 4.5 hrs on a Friday, get to the location, and it is a car dealership that no longer takes Hertz drop off. I have an email from Hertz with the location. It is now Friday evening and other locations are closed.

Saturday we have a morning commitment, I call another location and they say they are only open 9am - noon, if I drop it off by then I wont be charged an extra day. I can’t make that narrow window.

I take it to the airport, talk to the manager at the front desk. She keeps saying I will get charged for having it an extra day. Not understanding it was not my fault I was sent to the wrong location to begin with. Said I was having an attitude.

Wrote a complaint to customer service and got the charge removed and loyalty points, which are almost always blacked out.
