As an anime-only, my take on top 10 strongest swordsmen of all time (that we’ve seen on-screen) is…
1- Ryuma
2- Mihawk
3- Rocks
4- Roger
5- Shanks
6- Nusjuro
7- Garling
8- Oden
9- Fujitora
10- Law
11- Zoro??

Mihawk was introduced as the world’s strongest swordsman. However, I think that naturally implies he’s the strongest *known* swordsman; they just couldn’t find anyone stronger at the time they gave him that title.

Imu’s existence is a well-kept secret to almost the entire world— the only people who know about his existence (to my knowledge, as an anime-only) are the Five Elders, holy knights, Wapol, and the Revolutionary Army leaders. Even Akainu doesn’t know about him, much less anyone else.

So, even if he does wield a sword… nobody even knows who he is, so I think it’s safe to say that the WSS title wasn’t given with him in mind, right?
