Is anyone down to create a silver age Minecraft server? Ideally on version 1.4.7 or 1.3.2 but any version up to 1.6 works for me.
My friends all prefer the newer versions or modded while I like myself some older vanilla versions.
I'm also very interested in making low-effort videos on youtube, so if you don't mind or even want to participate, leave a comment.
I'm open to suggestions.
This is the first time in years that I am genuenly enjoying the game, even hyped about playing in my free time.
Basically, I did a big search for a version that fits me the most and landed on Release 1.4.7 and it's been amazing ever since.
Today at midnight, I hit the 11 hour mark in my world.
Didn't even reach the nether yet, i'm focusing on building my base first and despite not being the best builder in the world, i'm very happy with the conclusion so far.
I've made my base between two hills. One has my house inside it, the second one has the storage with furnaces and access to the mines. Everything is connected with a bridge, above which there are two small towers, inside of them is nether portal, though yet unlit.
Under the hills, i've made my humble farm with wheat and melons and sugar cane right next to it. If you take the other path, you get into the docks. You can also find a pixel art of a purple heart (as a tribute to my girlfriend whom I love very much).
Overall, I hope to play this world for a long time. Perhaps, i'll update one day, however i'm very sure i'm not updating over 1.6 due to the new terrain generation.
I do miss horses though since i've got three saddles, but no use for them except for pigs (hence, useless) and the more advanced redstone is something i'd appreciate as well, but for now, it's not an issue.
