first timer: coastal to central switch

hi!!! i'm a camino first timer and i'm thinking i want to go litoral to central to spiritual!

i've heard that litoral is the best out of porto because it's the least industrial, and i definitely want to spend some time along the ocean, but i also want to switch to the central route. most commonly i've seen people mention switching over at vila do conde (to rates via river or aqueduct) and caminha. i'd love to stay at casa de fernanda, which would mean switching at vdc, but i've heard some of the routes to rates are a little dangerous/confusing due to either cars or lack of signage. i was wondering if anyone had experiences/tips/opinions to share about either!

also, the camino apps i've seen don't let you plan for a route switch, so i was wondering if those who made the crossover used a different app or just "winged it" and followed the signs.

i would also totally appreciate any random tips or places you really loved staying at, eating at, or just walking through!!! if it factors in to your suggestions, im a 22 y/o woman who has some ankle/hip problems but is determined to stop letting them hold me back!
