Alternative Tremolo Arms for a PRS

Alternative Tremolo Arms for a PRS

One of my 1st PRS's was a late 2010's CE 24. The previous owner had upgraded the trem system and it had an arm that was a bit thicker than PRS OE, and a tad longer. It felt natural and I loved the extra length.

So I'm thinking of buying a 6mm arm (OE PRS for my model is 4.7mm) and having the shaft ground down.

What have others tried, if anything?

Just in time for the long weekend: new to me 2023 509

I'm letting it acclimate to the indoor temps after being in a truck at 90+ degrees for who knows how long. Can't wait to slap on some fresh strings and enjoy the tones. Shout out to Dave's Guitars of La Crosse, WI for a great buying experience.

..and yes the maple top just glows! A bit more "alive" than my flamed gold 513 next to it.

2025 PRS Studio vs. 35th Anniversary Core?

Making room for an alternative to my Les Paul and considering the Studio or the 35th Anniversary Edition Core (24).

Both seem to have the versatility in tone I'm looking for.

Recommendations?

Studio or 35th Anniversary 24?

Making room for a new guitar by selling my Gibson Les Paul gold top. Torn between the Studio and the 35th Anni Core? Anyone here played both and have insights to share.

Both would seem to suit my versatility needs for different tones. I play a lot of alternative rock and classic rock.

FYI my go to is a 513 10-top and what I play most of the time.

This is Rocky. He’s going to be 15 this summer

He’s become a real mush in his senior years. Loves to sit in our laps and get scritches.
