Unable to add device to EasyMesh network
Hi, I've recently bought a TP Link Wifi Extender RE225BE, intending to use it as a mesh for my bad wifi signal in my kitchen but for the love of me, I can't get past the EasyMesh pairing part. I've set it up initially as a wifi extender, adding both my 2.4 and 5 ghz connections to it. I checked my main router settings via web to confirm that the 'EasyMesh' option is turned on. Went to Tether app's 'More' section and into 'EasyMesh' and followed the instructions to press the WPS switches on both the device and my main router (TP Link HB810). both the device's wifi signal is blinking and my router is blinking blue too, went back to the app, tapped on 'I have pressed WPS switches' then it said 'Joining Mesh Networks'. Waited for a little while and it prompted me to Connect to my router's network and come back to the Tether app to continue the steps. I checked that I'm already connected to my router's main network the whole time but the app doesn't allow me to proceed?? I'm just perpetually stuck on this screen as shown here.
I have updated the firmware of the RE225BE to the latest version as well. Routers are up to date with the latest firmware as well. I tried manually scanning in router settings (tplinkwifinet) to add a mesh manually but it never detected any. Tried the WPS switch method on web and it still did not even detect any device at all. Anyone can help? I bought this to use as Mesh in the first place, not really as an extender as it can be quite cumbersome to continously switch between wifi networks.
