Been nursing a ti leaf plant cutting trying to propogate, advice?
hello, I have been nursing this Ti Leaf plant cutting in water for about 45 days. ive been laying it sort of 'hot dog' style on its side in a small dish covered about halfway with water and changing the water every 3-4 days. there are small shoots starting to emerge. the ends had been dipped in parafin wax i think which is also starting to come off.
a few questions...how do i know which end is 'up' for planting purposes? or does it get planted horozontal? When will it be 'ready' to plant in soil. Do i wait for some of these shoots to be longer? or is it ready now? what conditions are optimal for it? right now its been kept indoors in relative 72 degree room away from sunlight and heat in a room temperature dish of water. i have a full rack of plants/grow lights near the window and various size pots for it when its ready, as well as a high sun balcony with outdoor temps ranging 60-80 degrees currently.
