The 3 Magi knew when to expect the Messiah. How does that compare to the second coming?
Something that doesn't get discussed often is the magi--the wise men who followed the star of Bethelehem and found the Messiah. The magi were astrologers/astronomers who tracked the stars, natural wonders and calendars to understand the arrival of the Messiah, Jesus' first coming.
I wonder how does that differ from being able to discern with such precision, Jesus' second coming? We know no man knows the day or hour, according to Matthew 24. How come God specifically allowed humanity to predict the first coming with such precision but not His second coming? On the other hand, the Bible did say there will be signs and wonders in the sky prior to His second coming. So does that mean when the time is right, we will also be able to predict His second coming (concluding the edict in Matthew 24)?
