Originality
With everyone saying that storylines are repetitive, what storylines haven't we ever seen on the show or even any other soap ever. What could we witness that we have genuinely never seen before?

Does Max sleep with these different women because hes got a saviour complex and enjoys taking advantage of vulnerable women with issues?
Stacey- went with her after she was in a bad place following a bad breakup with bradley
Vanessa- enjoyed the conquest of saving her from a toxic marriage but soon got bored of her
Kirsty- relationship with carl was implied to be abusive and enjoyed picking her up and dropping her when tanya wasnt interested (she had it the worst imo)
Lucy- daddy issues with Ian
Priya- similar to stacey
Has it really been as bad as people say? There was a spell in october- december 2025 where it was dog water but other than that it hasn't been as bad as people say. The bea story's been entertaining at times, oscar and maxs returns been popular (although max does feel like a parody of his old self), redeeming cindy and nicola somewhat, nigels death and the mitchell trio was done well. The criticisms are the zoe story and it's follow up, ravis mental health story feels like a cheap copy and they forgot it so that priya can be maxs latest conquest, axing teddy was a mistake and id have rather seen the stories with sireen and barney come out at Christmas (i think that wouldve been the plan had clenshaw not left), suki also feels like her 2020 self and regressed in development and I feel like Denise's cancer story has been shoehorned between scenes to make way for grays return (but jury's still out on that one). Overall, after an underwhelming 2024 and an improving first half of 2025 id say wadey hasn't been as bad as people say
Why do the writers keep building up a mitchell/panasar feud for it to go no nowhere? Firstly ben causing jags death, then phil vs nish briefly, then the new mitchells vs ravi and nish, harry vs ravi, mark vs ravi now suki vs nicola.
Has anyone ever had a theory about characters? Nothing that was ever shown or mentioned on screen but something you always suspected about a storyline. I found it questionable that 10 year old bobby couldve killed lucy and I thought someone finished it off. Also I theorised denise knew more than she let on.
I didnt watch eastenders in the 1990s other than a continuing grant mitchell series on YouTube and a few clips here and there but Michelle sounds incredibly unlikeable. Slept with her best friends scumbag ex husband and lied about her baby's father for years and years. She then slept with a minor after being groomed by a way older man herself. Sounds like a horrible individual
I think Lauren is about to turn into Max. Seeds were planted for a while now. First of all theres a history of wrecking relationships (jake stone and his wife whose name i forgot then zack and whitney). During her wedding week she asked stacey whether she can spend her life as a wife to peter (asking stacey who is just the same) and the whole discussion with max where he brutally outlined her similarities to him. Now she appears to be getting closer to mark. I hope this isnt the case but she might be turning into max jr. The show is good at writing legacy characters and their flaws coming from parents and you can see this clearly in the massive branning family. Its ironic that abi was more on maxs side and she took a lot of bs from ben and less so steven whereas lauren was more on tanyas side and is closer to max in terms of behaviour
Why did everyone dislike ruby? In 2020-2021 she was incredibly unlikeable but she seemed better in her recent stint. Looked like ahe did learn her lesson and wasnt her old scheming self. Imagine your boyfriend dying and later finding out he was preparing to leave you and later being accused of burning his stall down. She didnt deserve all the hate she got.
