I really been liking the “evenness” of Dawnbeat’s auto slicer vs. Koala. Dawnbeat seems to find the transient easier without too many mistakes whereas koala needs more user assistance. Could it be that I’m not using the koala slicer correctly? I’ve added the same sample into both apps, and hit auto slicer, and Dawnbeat outputs crisp transient lines or Koala. I still use Koala for the workflow and Dawnbeat lacks choke groups, so I’d like Koala to do the same. As of now, I’m chopping in Dawnbeat and resampling in koala. I don’t know if I’m looking for help necessarily, and I’m definitely not trying to hate on Koala, so I guess this is just a rant.
