Back in Singapore after 4 years - but just for 4 hours! Should I go back to eat at the old favourites or am I missing out on something new?
I'm transiting from Sydney, and have been to Singapore many times. I've usually made a beeline for Chicken Rice if I'm short on time (Maxwell, Katong), but have tried a fair bit of variety over the years as well - Pepper Chili Crab, Bak Kut Teh and so on.
So now I find myself with another layover at the end of this month, and the plan is the same as before. Land, take a taxi into the city, eat some food, and head back.
If that was all the time you had, and you were coming back after 4 years, give me your top spots to go, and what you would eat there.
Side quest: If the timing works out, I'm more than happy to shout a meal if you want to join in! (one couple / person only!)
