Concerned about low potassium but doc says it's "lab error"

I recently had blood work done and it came back with a low potassium level. I usually have blood work done biannually and have never had this result before. I'm concerned because I have a lot of the symptoms that come with low potassium levels (muscle cramps/spasms, general weakness and fatigue, and possible heart palpitations), but I'm not sure if I'm just being a hypochondriac. My doctor saw these test results and said that it is likely "lab error" and that my "kidney function looks good". Should I seek a second opinion? Is this something I should be concerned about? I know I shouldn't take medical advice from Reddit, but I just want to hear what other people think and has anyone else experienced this before?
