What would have convinced you that Jeff Sokol was actually a dishonest and dirty person?

It's obvious that Jeff Sokol is the farthest thing on God's green Earth from a dishonest, dirty person. We know this because he was apprehensive about the whole sex thing, and he even brought a delicious pizza with him. In my opinion, the biggest thing that proved to me he wasn't dishonest or dirty was the fact he wasn't going to marry the girl in like 2 seconds. Had Jeff said to the decoy "let's get married in like 2 seconds" I would have been like, "this is obviously a dishonest and dirty person," but thankfully he proved otherwise.

Did Jeff Sokol possibly have an ulterior motive with the pizza?

I know this is all speculation, and Jeff is most likely just a fatass who was hungry after his 2.5 hour drive to molest a child in her own home, but I do wonder if he had another reason for bringing pizza. For one thing, it could help build trust for him and the 13 year old, also I imagine he could use it as a bargaining weapon. If a 13 year old girl got too nervous to have sex with him he could have been like “but I came all this way and got you a pizza” as a way of manipulating her into sex.

The discourse around the new movie is going to be absolutely insufferable.

This movie looks like it’s going to portray Chris as a morally gray figure chasing fame and fortune, rather than solely just a hero who put hundreds of predators behind bars.

The problem is I know how the internet works, people are possibly even going to be calling it a “pro pedo movie” like it’s the next Cuties or something if it dares portray any aspect of Chris or TCAP in anything but a positive light. If you have any opinions of Chris’ character in the movie or his actions, you will have to start every single sentence with “I don’t condone pedophilia, but…” or else you’ll have 52,000 comments saying that YOU are a pedophile. You probably still will anyway.

People simply cannot have any nuance related to this topic. If Chris had instead been on a show about catching burglars or scammers, people wouldn’t be going “oh, so you’re defending robbers?” or “the FBI better investigate you” if you had some type of criticism of him or his methods. However, since he’s catching child predators, he’s just magically immune to any criticism, and nobody can possibly give someone the benefit of the doubt of thinking that he wasn’t a perfect man without literally being pro child rape.

Was I a jackass for letting a girl go because she had no boobs?

Okay so I had affection for this girl at that time and I liked her a lot.
Just that I didn't know it at that time. I was mostly drawn to girls' physical aspects at that time. Even now that's how I am but way less than those days.

Anyway, she had no boobs, flatter than mine and she had thick ankles.

She had a cute face though.

We were just about to start dating but in the end, I couldn't start it because I was not attracted to her sexually a bit. She left and married another guy but we were both very hurt after we broke up. (not quite right because we never even dated)

I wonder if this kind of thing can happen to any guy or if I was being super shallow and a stupid.

Most people are political, they just don’t want to be political around you.

There’s this trend I’ve been seeing where people are criticizing those who say “I’m not into politics” or “I’m not political” and the response is usually something like “imagine being so privileged you can only not care about politics when they don’t effect you.”

In my experience, I’ve found most people don’t literally have zero political views or opinions whatsoever, they usually just say that as a nice way of steering the conversation away when it heads in that direction. There’s a group of people out there who will completely crash out if you hold views that are within an inch of difference from their own. These people will go on loud and aggressive tangents, make a bunch of assumptions about you, egg you on to debate them, expect you to very well read on this topic and have 1,000 different reputable sources just on hand to back up your opinion.

Both sides of the political spectrum have people like this, and they’re soul draining to be around. These people will draw firm lines over this kind of stuff and basically make political discourse their entire personality. There’s nothing wrong with political disagreements, but too many people these days can’t handle any form of opinion that isn’t their own, so in a politically neutral environment like work or a hobby group, many find it best to just avoid such topics entirely.

Now, I get it, people are very passionate about what they believe in, but not everyone wants to discuss this type of thing with every single person in every single environment. Maybe they’re fine discussing politics with friends or family, but not with coworkers. Some people are not super knowledgeable on every single political issue facing the world. Some people don’t want to have a discussion on every form of oppression on the planet.

Politics are very emotionally taxing, very divisive, and often just flat out toxic at times. If your response to someone saying “they’re not that into politics” is to lecture them about how privileged and apathetic they are, you are EXACTLY the type of person I’m talking about. If you have some need to interrogate every single peer you have to make sure they aren’t secretly “bad guys” then that’s your problem, but you don’t need to make it everyone else’s. You can’t always tell which people are super passionate over certain topics (although there’s many you can). Nobody wants to accidentally set you off on 9am on a Monday morning because they accidentally said the wrong opinion at the water cooler.

Perspective: Why “be confident” is preposterous advice.

Confidence is like a muscle. You build it over time. However, you need to build it with positive reinforcement. If you strikeout 100 times, you’re probably not going to feel super confident when you step up to home plate again.

Now many normies will be like “fake it till you make it” but that’s basically just acting. Now acting, is a difficult skill. Why do you think we line up to see movies with great actors or watch yearly shows where we give prestigious awards to talented acting? Being an actor is difficult enough of a skill in a controlled environment like a movie set, but this is real life we’re talking about. This is not a movie, there is only one “take”, there are real consequences and effects you will face from your acting.

I think my best comparison to why “being confident” out of thin air doesn’t work comes from roast comedy. People are very perceptive, even a sperg like me. You ever watch a guy getting roasted either in a professional setting or in a viral video and he’s laughing and smiling, but you can clearly see in his eyes and face that the roast actually got to him? You can obviously tell his feelings are hurt and he’s trying to hide it and play it off like he’s just laughing with everyone else. It’s the same thing with confidence, people can clearly tell you’re not actually confident. Only positive reinforcement can build confidence. If you’ve spent a life being bullied, ignored, and rejected, you will have basically no confidence most of the time. You can’t just ignore all of that and magically be confident just because.

I miss the epic scale Toy Story used to have.

I think one thing that feels very off about Toy Story 4 and 5 is that they just feel much smaller in scale. The first Toy Story was pretty small in scale, too, mainly focusing on the two leads going on an adventure. The biggest action scene was basically just an RC car chasing a truck. However, this was the first movie and it was relatively low budget.

Toy Story 2 and 3 on the other hand felt like these massive blockbusters. Both of them open with large scale action scenes. They both have massive ensemble casts (Toy Story 3 in particular really showed off in its marketing just the abundance of characters in the film), and there was a huge epic feeling to the adventure in those movies. They had so many memorable action scenes that really upped the stakes like the garbage dump, airport, escape from Sunnyside, crossing the street to Al's Toy Barn.

Toy Story 4 and 5 have a lot less of this kind of action, they mainly focus on character driven stories. They both have much less intense openings than 2 and 3, 5 in particular. While the climax of 5 is a bit exciting, the story as a whole doesn't feel as grand as the 2nd and 3rd movie. 4's climactic location is just an antique store which is a lot less exciting than a daring escape from an airplane or a dangerous incinerator. 4 focuses on Forky, Woody, Bo, and kind of Buzz. 5 mainly focuses on Jessie. Both the films keep the majority of the ensemble cast in one location with basically nothing to do the entire film. I feel as if Toy Story 2 were made by the people who worked on 4 and 5, Buzz would have just went to save Woody alone. Rex, Hamm, Slinky, and Potato Head would not have joined him. I get most of the original cast is getting old or have already passed, but even many of the new toys introduced in 3 aren't used. I feel as though the first 3 films made better use of their characters.

Now I am not saying there is anything wrong with doing smaller scale stories, but I can't help but feel a bit disappointed and underwhelmed with how little the stakes feel in these newer movies. With how much hell the toys went through in 3, it's just not as exciting to see the big climax of 4 being Woody giving up his voice box, or in 5 trying to save an iPad so Bonnie can make a new friend.

If we ever keep getting new Toy Story films, I hope we can get another one that raises the stakes a bit and gives us a massive cast like it has done once before.

Perspective: If men could get pregnant, abortion would be even more hated.

It’s common to hear the talking point that if men could get pregnant, abortions would be as easy as getting a haircut or buying a pair of shoes, but I would honestly say it would be the opposite. Think about how society treats men, think about what kind of stuff men are villainized for.

Aborting your baby out of convenience would be seen as something not real men do. It would be seen as weak and cowardly. People, even women, will tell men to man up and do things like take responsibility for a child that came out of their spouse’s unfaithfulness. Would it not be expected that people wouldn’t tell men to man up and go through labor?

Abortion would be viewed by feminists as yet another disgusting and selfish thing that men do. There would be no “his body his choice” because feminists would view it as men avoiding responsibility, ironically something many pro lifers view abortion as when women do it.

I just have a lot of trouble believing this world that constantly tells men to suck it up and take it over basically everything else would magically become compassionate and understanding over men wanting abortions. It would be seen as the ultimate act of betrayal against your wife/gf to abort the baby.
