What am I doing wrong?

Hey everybody, I am an accidental first owner of a Calathea and he's struggling a little. I have a couple of leaves that are yellowing that 100% are going to dry out because I have already seen this happen 3-4 times in the last few weeks :(

When I got it almost two months ago I didn't know it had very specific needs. I am now running a humidifier right next to it and I've been giving him exclusively distilled water for a week. I also sprayed neem oil as I've noticed there were a few spider mites (can't see them right now).

I think the biggest mistake was a month ago when I repotted it, I used universal potting soil but now I know it needs something more airy, but I'm scared of changing the soil again because the first time I did that it stressed him, gah.

There are no abrupt temperature changes and only receives indirect light. The good thing is that the leaves in the middle are okay, they change position normally from day to night and I have a couple of new growths.

One last detail, where I got this plant from it was already stressed and it has crispy borders and it was discolored.

Please, what can I do? Thank you

10 years of bleps

First pic is Luna today, second pic is her 10 years ago in 2016. Mind you she was born in 2011, so she's been 'blepping' for more! The last photo is an extra from last year.

I was grieving you and now you play like nothing

Hey everybody! I shared her a couple of times before but this is Luna, a 14.5 year old angel that I have had since I was 11 years old. She's had some rough weeks recently with some health issues that made me consider that her time was nearing, but we let her recover and she's better than before after changing some medications too (instead of gabapentin we use prednisone + CBD). She's so much more active, she's so much more curious, playful; she's back to her usual self before the health incidents. She has full autonomy too, even if she's slow sometimes.

As long as she has the will to live and a decent quality of life, then I can't be more happy! Enjoy these lovely pictures of her.

I think the time is getting near

Hey everybody, this is Luna, she's 14.5 years old and I posted about her about a week ago because she had an episode of vestibular syndrome. For three weeks in a row we've had issues, from explosive constant diarrhea (she was defecating every 30 to 40 minutes for hours), to vestibular syndrome to... This week. She recovered quite quickly from last week's episode, but two days ago she had a bit of diarrhea and maybe just a few hours later suddenly she just couldn't get up anymore and looked extremely depressed. She would just look at you maybe but not even wag. We took her to the vet and they prescribed a few medications that seem to have impacted her positively, as she's now able to attempt to get up and walk a little, but with difficulty and not for too long. She seems to space out sometimes when she's standing, looking at nothing until she decides to lie down again.

She was fine last month, she would play, she would walk and sniff everything, even if it was slow. Fast forward to today we went from giving her only one type of pill a day to over five (vitamin B, vasodilators, antibiotics, gabapentin, CBD, prednisone, things to rebuild her gut flora...).

I hope this is a hiccup and somehow she can get back to how she was a month ago, but... A part of me believes that it may not be possible. I still need to see how she progresses in one week with the treatment. I just hate to think about what may come next.

Google Lens returned a mess

I simply wanted to use Google Lens to scan a plant and it returned a nonsensical mess. Does anybody have any idea what this is or how this could have happened internally? It's hilarious
