The difference in polyp thicknesses in my two Rasta torches

I got the 2nd Rasta torch as a bit of a deal with a chunk of avipora and a frag of Rasta zoa's for $100aud and I'm amazed at the variation in polyp thicknesses between my two torches.
The one with the thinner polyps has 3 heads and has been in the tank for about 2 weeks and is thriving. The thicker was put in yesterday and seems to be fairly happy.
Is there variations in the torch species that would explain the difference in polyp thicknesses or will it even out over time as they mature?
