Could PsA and IBS be connected?

I’ve been dealing with joint pain in different parts of my body for about 15 years. A few months ago, I finally saw a rheumatologist for the first time, and they said psoriatic arthritis is a possibility. I’m currently waiting for the results of my second round of blood work.

Lately I’ve been wondering if some other things might be connected too. I remember having a lot of stomach pain as a child and going to the doctor often. My daughter also had frequent stomach pain growing up and was diagnosed with IBS in high school. She still deals with chronic diarrhea now.

Since I started seeing a rheumatologist, I’ve been wondering whether any of this could be connected somehow. Does anyone here have psoriasis, psoriatic arthritis, and IBS or other chronic digestive issues?

ANA titer came back at 1:320, doctor wants to wait 6 months for retest but the pain is getting unbearable. How do you manage at home?

A few months back I started having ongoing pain in my fingers and wrist that was getting in the way of daily life, so I finally saw a rheumatologist and got bloodwork done. My ANA titer came back at 1:320 (apparently anything under 1:80 is considered normal), so something autoimmune is clearly going on. The doctor mentioned it could be psoriatic arthritis, maybe tendinitis, wasn't fully sure which, and said we'd just retest in 6 months to see how things progress.

That was 3 to 4 months ago. Now my wrists and palms hurt so much some days I can barely move them. I'm getting by on ibuprofen for now but it's not really cutting it anymore.

If you've dealt with something similar (high ANA, waiting on a diagnosis, hand/wrist pain), how do you manage the pain at home in the meantime? Heat vs cold, splints, stretches, anything that actually got you through the waiting period would be really appreciated.

Anyone else terrified to run outside? got mugged and now i just can't

I've been on my treadmill for like a year now because i got mugged and i just. can't. go outside alone anymore. tried a few times, made it like two blocks, turned around. great.

The dumb part is i actually love running. Did anyone actually get past something like this? not looking for "you're so brave keep going" just actual stuff that helped. pepper spray? run clubs? certain times of day? idk i'm just tired of the treadmill
