Is there any way to ask for more $$ now that I know my direct reports salaries?

I got a promotion into a newly created role that is multiple levels above where I was. I’m now managing three people that were previously my peers who are doing the same job I was just doing, but as part of me now managing them I am aware of their salaries and they only make $7k less than I do yet I’m two levels above. I think they’re very deserving, but I feel like it’s a bit unfair that I’m now in a role with much more responsibility and direct reports and yet we make such similar salaries.

Is there any way to broach this with my manager or is this something I’m just stuck with at this point?

New plant already dying -help!

A friend gave me this little guy as a gift >!last!< week and it’s already starting to wither. It’s currently in a place with indirect light, I watered it once in the past 6 days, no changes to the soil since receiving it so outside of that I’m not sure what I’m doing wrong! Any help would be appreciated.
