NCase M3 Air vs AIO

Good Day All!

I posted previously about a build I was going to do, but unfortunately had to pivot as NZXT parts seem to be almost non-existent in Canada - so no more H2 Flow or Kraken Elite 280mm.

I have decided to go with the NCase M3 Grater case, but I am stuck deciding between the air route (Noctua NH-D15 G2) or Liquid AIO (Be Quiet Pure Loop 3).

I am going ahead with these other components

  • Asus ROG Strix B850i
  • Ryzen 7 9800x3d
  • Asus Prime RX 9070xt
  • Corsair SF1000
  • WD_Black SN8100 2tb

I do know that if I go the air route, I will have to be aware of the type of RAM I use, as there will be height restrictions due to cooler.

Also I did consider the Arctic Liquid Freezer III, but given the thickness of the rad, I thought it prudent to consider the Pure Loop 3 instead.

I won't be doing any overclocking or pushing the limits of the system, so keeping everything as cool as possible, with minimal footprint are my primary goals.

As this is my first build in 16 years, any help would be greatly appreciated!

Addtl: Right now the Noctua is $219.99 cad and the Be Quiet is on sale for $99 cad.

SFF PC Build - Help Choosing Parts and Things to consider

Good Day r/BuildPC!

I am building my first PC in 16 years at the worst time possible! (F*** Sk Hynix, Samsung, Micron, NVidia and AI Slop Companies)...but alas, I need a PC, as the mediocre second-hand laptops aren't cutting it anymore. Also I was broke with many bills for a long time, and will finally have some $$$ at the end of the month and be in a much better financial position.

I have been eyeing a SFF build as they have intrigued me.

As I live in Canada, some of my options are limited (like cases) unless I want to pay high prices for shipping/tariffs.

There are a few things I have settled on in terms of components...

  1. Case - NZXT H2 Flow (Would also consider DeepCool CH170 Digital)
  2. Processor - AMD Ryzen 7 9800/9850x3d
  3. Min 32GB RAM
  4. AMD Radeon 9070xt or RTX 5070ti

Nice to Have: 2.5, 5 or 10gb network connection

Use: Some gaming. I am absolutely not a gamer and when I do, I usually play single-player first person-shooter / adventure games. Have been looking forward to trying Cyberpunk, Borderlands 4 and Shadow of the Tomb Raider games for a long time. Mostly browsing, but can handle most things I may need it to do, be image editing

Budget: I know previous to the apocalypse, I would be looking at approx $3000 CAD, but now I am probably about $3500-$4000 for the same specs. I would like to keep it closer to the $3500CAD price point.

Note: I am purposefully building a bit higher-end system, because I want to and also because it will probably need to last me about 5+ years.
