Thureox reforms army composition?
What is a good army composition for a greek faction post thureox reforms?
I'm playing as Antigonidai (Macedon), and have just reached the reforms. Up to this moment my army looked like so:
- 5 pikes (chaklaspides)
- 2 hoplites
- 4 peltasts / agrianians
- 3 archers / slingers
- 4 cavalry
- 1 siege weapon
I'm looking at the new units I got with this reforms and am not sure about what to do with them. The only thing I find reasonable is to swap the 2 hoplites with 2 thureox spearmen (I find the hoplites mostly useless). Should I make any other changes?
Also, as a side question, what is a good army composition and tactic to deal with:
- Rome legions
- Persians (large missile cavalry armies)
