Niko Jovic with another good international showing this offseason. Serbia v France
10, 4, 2 and 2 steals. 75% shooting and led the team in plus/minus at +8. Going up against Wemby and Gobert.

Yes I know Vlad is on two-way, but he can be waived.
Saw Vlad, Wiseman and Richards all working out together with Miami players. I wonder if the staff are interested in them.
Pat said he wanted a big athletic center, these guys can all play that back up big role.
After watching the summer league games, and knowing what we are currently lacking on the roster, this is where I’d rank the guys:
Noting we still don’t really have any viable options for back up centre via two-way, I’d still rather the other guys listed.
We need shooting, scoring, playmaking. He can light it up, be it off the bench if need be.
He’s still only 24.
He played skyforce last season and averaged 23, 7 and 5. 42% from 3 on 8 attempts. Despite small sample size of shooting well (one season), I’d like to see him get an opportunity at summer league or training camp.
Key targets that are now unavailable are:
- Hield
- Huerter
- Shamet
- Thomas Bryant
- Dayron Sharpe
- Josh Minott
I think Quaintance may be more injured than letting on, and consequently is likely to drop. All his videos are showing him landing on his left, in a strange 1-2 landing. Rarely both feet, and basically never landing on his right (the sleeved leg).
Does anyone know if this is just how he has always landed, or is this a compensatory behaviour change? It looks like this would put more load on his other leg, and have an even higher chance of injury.
I’m concerned that he may need another surgery prior to even playing any NBA ball. Could drop to 2nd round?
This is how I'd rank prospects if I'm picking for the Miami Heat.
Note that this is a big board not a mock draft.
I'm high on MBJ as I believe he has the ability to be a superstar.
Lower on Acuff, as he is small and not great on defence - don't think he fits Miami system as well as others.
This happens every time a star is available, the Miami media goes hard about how we can get them and that they will be a great addition. They do all the podcasts and articles about how they fit and whatnot, and make it seem like its a done deal.
This causes the average fan to get their hopes up, and have unrealistic expectations. People think Pat can make a trade giving away peanuts and receiving the perfect fit. Then we inevitably are left disappointed when we miss on the whale.
Media is saying "Miami is in the lead/Miami is the most likely", while there's 0 evidence for this. They are claiming that because its "quiet", that the deal is done or being made. The Miami front office is always quiet in the way they conduct their business. Teams don't want to leak their 'packages' for negotiating reasons.
Additionally, Miami media is saying that our starting lineup would be Davion, Norm, Wiggs, Giannis, Bam. Now this is a fine lineup, but both Norm and Wiggs MAY NOT EVEN BE ON THE ROSTER NEXT YEAR.
I don't know why people are thinking it's a done deal that both Norm and Wiggs would be back. Norm is a free agent and can literally sign anywhere. We all don't want to overpay for Norm. Detroit or Cleveland or whoever can offer him what he wants. Same goes for Wiggs. He can decline his player option and choose to go back to Warriors or go Lakers or wherever for more money/more years.
Then what's the starting lineup? Davion, Dru, Myron, Giannis, Bam?
This is a possibility in the case we trade for Giannis.
So just a reminder, Miami media is all about engagement farming. They don't have insides scoops, the Heat doesn't 'leak' things like other teams, we're all in the dark here.
Saw the other post about cutest mock draft and thought that's a great idea. So here it is, based purely off appearance
Miami has only one RECORDED player worked out for them. Malachi Moreno, a big from Kentucky. This may tell us something about where they’re looking to spend their SRP.
Noting that Miami is usually quiet about who they workout, so take that for what it’s worth.
This is how I want the draft to go.
Top 5 is pretty locked imo. Nets go big, Mara a big riser as his measurables are insane.
Burries is a bit underrated in this sub, but I feel like NBA teams would love him. Can play on and off ball and contribute in a ton of different ways. Also quite sturdy.
Mavs and bucks could swap their guards around and still make sense. They went for the lower risk of the point guard prospects, as they don’t have all their picks.
Kerr gets to mould Ament into GSW next sharpshooter. I really think he would be maximised in golden states offense with how open he would get.
Lendeborg is perfect for OKC.
Miami gets the steal of the draft, high risk high reward in MBJ.
