I bought the blue dress first and I'm currently getting it tailored as it's a little too big and I think it's a bit frumpy. I know that one is wedding appropriate, especially once it fits correctly, but I don't feel that i look good in it.

I bought the pink one last week (I know I need to turn it to the side more). My fiance says it's not formal enough for the dress code and the coloring was too vibrant for a wedding guest. I personally thought it was fine, but I'm not from the UK and he is. Would that be better for like a semi-formal? I thought it covered plenty and the colors were perfect for a summer wedding.

I'll likely just wear the blue at this point but I'd like to know about the pink for future weddings.
