Potty training advice?

Potty training 29 month old boy and following oh crap potty training blocks. Did/does well in block 1, bottomless. Introducing pants commando (block 2) and was having some accidents, and not telling us when he needs to go/if he had an accident. He needs help with clothing so it is necessary for him to tell us so we are able to help. I got a doll with removable pants to help model/roleplay with him....but, does he need more time in block 1 or focus on block 2? We are still very newly potty training, less than a week in. Some success with timed prompts. Also, he seems afraid to use the actual toilet with the seat reducer, he will say he wants to use the big potty when given an option but then doesn't want to sit on it for more than 2 seconds. Any advice is appreciated, learning along with him so it's a learning curve for everyone.

Clothing manipulation practice help?

So my son is doing well overall with potty training and recognizing when he needs to go and tries to get to the potty. We are seeing great progress and we are just beginning.

However, our battle has been manipulating clothing, pushing down and pulling up pants. Bottomless he has no issues/accidents but with bottoms on (commando) we are running into some accidents which we know are normal and part of the process. He is 29 months old and honestly didn't have enough practice before potty training. Maybe we just picked a not great time to practice earlier but he refused to try pushing down/pulling up. He is able to do it, but needs practice. Any tips to help him practice and not become a battle? Or any other fun things to try?

Potty Training Advice?

We started potty training our 29 month old son yesterday and so far he hasn't really peed very often. But he did go to the potty chair and sit to poop small amounts yesterday.....not sure if he's withholding pee or just having a difficult time releasing or he is just able to hold it? He's sat and I've tried having him blow out air and laugh, we usually read to him or he looks at a book while sitting. But still nothing. Yesterday he peed during his nap in his nap time diaper and then had peed on the floor after lunch time and said "pee" as he was peeing.....didn't manage to get any in the potty in time but did seem like a full bladder's worth of pee to me. I haven't been able to see his signs that he needs to go and also didn't really do any timers to prompt to sit. Wondering if I should have times I prompt to sit this early? He's been barebottomed so far.
