Do you need to find your partner attractive ?

Long time lurker, first time poster. I've realized I'm ace a few years ago, but I'm only about to start dating someone.
Aesthetic attraction isn't really important for me and I'm about to have my first irl date with a girl I really like to hang out and have virtual with.
I don't find here super attractive (but I never really find anyone super attractive tbh. I mean, sometimes I find someone really beautiful, but in an hour this feeling is gone).
I don't know if I'll like kissing her and stuff, but she's ok with that (she had multiples ace partners in her life). It will be fun to find out.

But most people don't even know asexual people exists and things are different for us (and for everyone for that matter)
So here's my question : do you need to have aesthetic attraction towards your partner ? Did you date someone you didn't find attractive in the past ? How was it ?
