I had seen someone comment about using a hair straightener on really low heat to fix damaged hair. I decided to try it on a piece I had actually replaced on one of my ponies since I'm going to throw it away anyway. I have a hair straightener that will only go as low as 220 but I tried it anyway. I got the hair very way, brushed it out and ran the straighter over it once really fast. I think it actually did a pretty good job. I would like to have one that goes lower because subsequent passes made it frizzy again. Seems very dangerous to mess up but I figured I'd share my findings for anyone who's brave enough.

This one is going to a friend's son. I got tush tags made to put my makers mark on them. Thought y'all might enjoy the flaxen chestnut color way!

I promise I'm still working on the unicorn pattern, it still needs more work to be right. The head is too bulbous. My life kinda blew up recently so I haven't had much time to work on it. Hopefully soon!

For those of you following along:

I've had some set backs with life and needing to wait on extremely slow order processing/shipping fabric. The foot situation has been figured out and is looking good. Think the head might be incorrect but I'm waiting to get the horn and mane on before I rework the head. Overall I think mine is once again a little bit bigger than the original. Some shots to get people hyped. Pink pony is the new one!

I finally got the fabric I wanted to use and progress is happening quickly. Just wanted to share a few pictures of where it's at 💕

Known issues with the feet: not rounded enough. Velvet is definitely not the choice for the thread sculpting to look good but I bought it so that's what I'm using.
