Did the Awlmun Den skip with the tactics tank

Turns out with the recently found double bot jump, you can make the skip with any tank and its insanely easy. Not sure if I'm the first one to find this, but its pretty neat.

Rules update (Minor)

I've updated the rules regarding AI content to better reflect my intent and how the rule is actually being enforced. The intent of this new rule is not to discourage learning with AI, or vibe coding as a whole (That's why we have the flair set up!), but to discourage taking stuff you've made with AI and pretend you've made it yourself. For this purpose, The "Vibe coding a thing" flair will be renamed to "Coding a thing (AI assisted)", to lessen its negative connotation.

I've also cleaned up the wording of some other rule(s). This will not change enforcement in any way, it serves only to make things clearer for you guys.

I'm feeling a little emotionally unstable at the moment, so I'll lock this post to avoid giving myself a mental breakdown. Hope y'all understand.

With love,

u/azurfall88 on behalf of the r/teenagersbutcode mod team

The people have spoken. Remember to report!

From the moment this post is published, a new rule will take effect: Rule 8. All AI content must be marked.

Going forward, all AI content must be marked with the "Vibe coded a thing" or "Vibe coding a thing" flair, whichever is more appropriate, or risk post removal.

Edit: "AI content" is defined as a post where a majority of the code the post is showing off is written by AI, and/or a majority of the post itself is written by AI.

Also, remember to report posts that you think breaks the rules. We mods get pinged whenever a post is reported, and we have a special feed where we can see reported posts. Reporting is the fastest way to get us mods to notice something.

With love (and no AI slop),

List of Boss Salmonids reworked from S2/S3 so far

I figured it would be interesting to list all the changes to returning Boss Salmonids I've seen so far. Might update the list if I feel like it.

Flyfish (Mixed): The Pilot is now vulnerable, but baskets seem invincible to explosives.

Stinger: Unchanged.

Slammin' Lid: Unchanged.

Flipper-Flopper (Nerfed): No longer one-shots you on a failed zone retake.

Fish Stick (Nerfed): Shoot the propeller to shorten the stick, leaving only the fish.

Scrapper: Unchanged

Maws (Mixed): Maws now has less health (?), armor on the side facing the player and the lunge has more end-lag, but she seems impervious to explosives placed in her "zone".

Drizzler (Nerfed): You can now shoot through parts of the umbrella.

Steelhead (Nerfed): Armor removed, now has damage resistance everywhere except the old weak spot while charging.

Edit 1: I forgor that Raiders swapped bombs for Gadgets. Replaced all mentions of bombs with "explosives" to include stuff like Explosher and explosive Gadgets.

edit 2: It seems Maws has less health.

AI slop

A post was recently made, where several commenters requested a ban of projects that were generated by AI. The argument was that this subreddit focuses on the code, i.e. the journey, and not the final project itself.

Instead of straight up making a rule, like a dictator, I thought it appropriate to hold a vote, to let the people decide.

The poll has 3 options:

The first option entails a new rule, which means a blanket ban on everything fully or mostly AI generated. Only humans allowed here!

The second option is that AI generated content must be clearly declared as such (This will also be incorporated in a new rule), and new "vibe coded a thing" and "vibe coding a thing" flairs will be introduced for this purpose. This is a trust based system, and undeclared AI content, if found, will still be removed. This will effectively just make unlabeled AI a reportable offense.

The third option is to keep things as is, with AI generated content fully allowed. Vibe code away!

[Desktop] Need help with creating Polls

Subreddit moderator here, I can't figure out how to make a Poll post. I've made sure polls are turned on in Mod Tools and I've looked basically everywhere in the submission UI, but the option to create a Poll just isn't there.

No "Looking for Friends" posts

Hi everyone! Recently, the moderation queue has been utterly flooding with posts that say the same thing: "Hi 13m looking for friends!!!"

First of all: I'd like to remind you of our subreddit rules. Rule 2: "No personal information", basically explicitly forbids these kinds of posts. In the future, they will be removed, without exception.

While there is nothing inherently wrong with trying to socialize on the internet, try to post about something that others will find interesting, or something that might spark a friendly discussion. A flood of "hi im 13 please be friends with me" sounds really desperate, and also pretty spammy. Instead, post about something interesting you've realized, or did, or drew. Those posts are way more interesting and contribute meaningfully to the subreddit. Thank you.

How to get out of "coding block"?

I'm developing a webapp, but there's so much theory that I have to learn before starting that I can't even wrap my head around it. I have to learn:

state machines

making a good account system

How external auth services work (I want to use a login system that we have)

CORS

Rust webdev libraries

PostgreSQL

how to build a REST API

How to host a backend on your own server

and tie it all together into a functioning web thing

And I just don't have the energy to even start because there's too much I need to learn. What do I do?
