Are these big unknowns for now?

I understand Trench Crusade is intended to be a narrative game, but it’s never explained how. The group I got introduced to wargaming/TC with just do campaign battles really, so I struggle to visualize it.

I imagine two separate extremes where narrative means you play with campaign mechanics and sometimes get emergent story beats as part of it that we crack jokes about and forget later, similiar to how me and the group does it.

And the other extreme is where you build your list around Lt.Rambobicus with a backstory who goes into scenarios with a silenced pistol and rolls a dice each turn to see if he succumbs to chronic narcolepsy cause it makes for a memorable story. :D Kinda like a roleplaying game, but with competitive elements and no GM.
