Hair Stylist recommendations?

My hair is on the wavy/curly side and I want to get the Jheri Curls that Michael Jackson has in the Thriller music video. I don’t want to go to just any spot that might not know how to trim or style what I want. I’ve also had rough experiences with places that don’t know how to handle my wavy/curly hair, and just overdo it. If there’s any of you that can recommend me a good stylist or barber (based in Los Angeles), whichever is best, I would greatly appreciate it.

Here’s my routine (I never use hair-ties):

For Shampoo, I use Head & Shoulders only once a week or if I feel my hair getting too greasy. I try my best to strictly target my scalp and avoid the hair strands.

For Conditioners, I use Pantene as a daily co-washer. Focusing mainly on the hair strands, avoiding the scalp.

After showering, I use Garnier Curl Cream and apply it all throughout my hair, first with hands, then a wide-tooth plastic hair pick.

To style my current hair, I just use the hair pick and gravity to let my hair flow and rest naturally, giving off my natural curls, as it air-dries throughout the day.

For days that I stay home or don’t work, instead of the curl cream, I use SheaMoisture coconut oil, so my hair doesn’t sit by itself after showering, and instead consumes the oils it needs for constant hydration.

Final note: I sometimes use a silk bonnet, other times I just lay on my silk pillowcase without the bonnet.
