My idea to fix Aurora: make it burn you out.
I think honest Aurora decks - the ones that actually play multiple units, ramp, and use Aurora as a payoff - are not problematic, like this Fiora deck running around. The problem, of course, is the unending wave of Elder Dragons we are seeing, which Aurora is abusing.
I think one simple rules change would solve the toxic Aurora issue: if you have no units left in your deck, make it so Aurora burns you out and your opponent scores a point.
Recycling cards back to the deck was supposed to be a downside on cards, like Ekko (which also didn't work out), where sending things back was meant to make you "never" see them again. But with Aurora, this downside is completely flipped into a massive payoff because it gives you infinite value loops with zero penalty.
I also don't think it's absurd to think this is how it should work. I heard many players express surprise when they find out how it currently works. If you have to look at cards in your deck but there are none left, that should also burn you out.
