[!!SPOILERS!!] The Veilguard's visual storytelling is an absolute masterpiece

I just played the mission where you kill the first god, and I'm honestly blown away by Veilguard's visual storytelling.

First, I trusted Solas. I accepted him as an ally, only to realize he'd betrayed me. But before I could even fully process that, I was in the prison, confronted with the consequences of my own decisions. Neve had been captured, Davrin was dead, and it felt like the game was holding me accountable for everything that had gone wrong.

It genuinely felt like an emotional reckoning. No other game has made me feel so confronted by my own choices.

And then came the realization that Varric was dead.

That was when the second betrayal really hit me. The disappointment, the anger, the feeling of being deceived all over again, and above all, the sadness.

What makes this so powerful is how the game conveys these emotions visually. The camera angles, close-ups, facial expressions and framing make everything feel incredibly personal. I also love the heroic cinematography. It makes these moments feel epic without taking away from the emotional weight of the story.

My Quest 3 just turned into a very expensive paperweight...

... exactly 4 days after the warranty expired. 😅

I'm hoping someone here has seen this before.

My Quest 3 is about 2 years old. The last time I used it, everything was completely normal. I shut it down properly and put it aside with around 30% battery remaining.

Later, when I wanted to use it again, it suddenly wouldn't turn on at all.

Symptoms:

  • No LED
  • No startup sound
  • No Meta logo
  • Black screen
  • Can't access the boot menu (Power + Volume Down does nothing)
  • When I press the power button, the fan spins for about 1 second and then stops
  • If I keep the power button pressed, it repeatedly tries to start and the fan keeps pulsing on and off

One thing that may or may not be related: a few months ago I noticed that while charging, the headset sometimes got unusually hot and the fan would run almost constantly. Battery life itself seemed normal though.

Things I've already tried:

  • Different chargers and cables
  • Charging for several hours
  • Hard reset
  • Holding the power button for 30+ seconds
  • All button combinations I could find online

Has anyone experienced this exact issue?

Did you manage to fix it, or was it ultimately a hardware failure?

I'd really appreciate any ideas. Thanks!
