r/Quest3

I just want to let you know guys google gemini help me permanently disabling proximity sensor on my quest (Black screen of death).
So here's the full detailed steps I've done
First thing you must have developer mode unlocked
Second thing you must install the macrodroid app
Third copy these settings when you add macros on the app
Triggers:
Device boot
Actions:
Send intent then type com.oculus.vrpowermanager.prox_close
That's all I hope this post help a lot to everyone!
I'm so happy because I don't need to cast to meta horizon app inorder to show the display then disable the proximity sensor via sidequest app.
Now I just boot up the device and wait for a few seconds and the display will show.
VRChat
So I got a Quest 3 and I was on VRChat. My Avi looks fine when I look in the mirror but other avis look kinda blocky. Is there anything that I can do? Or is it a Quest thing?
WorldLens VR, All-in-One Virtual Travel.
—
Hello y’all 👋
Ever since virtual reality made it possible for people to explore the entire world, users have wanted more. More immersion, more realism, a better representation of reality. I wanted it too.
For the past 3 years I’ve been working with the community to build the dream traveling experience in VR, combining all cutting-edge technologies and services into one seamless experience. And for the past year, WorldLens has slowly grown to become a top user choice. Being able to share my passion with the world (no pun intended) has truly been the greatest blessing of my life.
The next big thing has been clear to me for a long time: experiencing the hundreds of billions of panoramic images around the world in 6DoF 3D.
To make this leap possible I couldn’t rely on existing spatial data. Google uses LiDAR for street depth maps, but in the form of low resolution cube-shaped environment layouts. No terrain, no objects, nothing to really project on. It also wasn’t available for user-uploaded Community Imagery.
That is the main reason why you haven’t seen this concept come sooner.
AI was the only real way to bring this to life. However, tools were limited. To meet WorldLens’ standards, everything needed to run on standalone devices, even those with tight memory like the Quest 2, not just on more powerful platforms.
Breakthroughs made 3D generation scalable, capable of running on any VR device and compatible with all imagery types. v49 delivers the uncompressed, 8k imagery WorldLens is known for, but now faster, and with a new 3D mode.
v49 is a major update, check out the official update post for more details.
Note: This doesn’t refer to Google Earth 3D. 3D Street View is a separate feature, but both are available in WorldLens.
It is always my pleasure to listen and do my best to ensure you have the best possible experience, if you have feedback to share, just let me know!
Happy Earth Day! 🌍

Forza Horizon 6 VR / Easy Way to Play in Virtual Reality / Meta Quest 3 + RTX 4080 Super
youtu.beThis thing is a productivity beast.
I normally have my laptop with me, but its not working right now, so I ended up bringing my quest 3s with me today to get some work done, and its working great. Most of what I do is in the browser, and this thing has amazing keyboard and mouse support, I can move any window around with my mouse and I have had no issues. I just had to sideload one app but now I can do everything I normally do easier in my headset, with the added privacy.
Hi everyone!
I’ve made a new trailer for my game Xenolocus, and I’d like to share the atmosphere I’m trying to create.
The game takes place on the lower levels of a base where something has clearly gone wrong.
Contact with the armory is lost, no one is responding, and everything around feels tense and abandoned.
You’ll have to fight your way through xenos, keep an eye on the motion tracker, and gather ammunition
while a giant xenos soldier sweeps everything in its path.
Hidden in the dark rooms of the laboratory are many mysteries
waiting to be uncovered - the megacorporation’s military experiments and the secrets of an ancient alien civilization.
What do you think about the game’s atmosphere?
I’m currently working toward a demo, so I’ll be sharing more soon.
Anyone else missing the old VR environments home screens?
Man I miss the VR cowboy gold rush town home screen world and the space station. Oh yeah the camp site was awesome too.
This is one reason why I HATE when you can't contact a company, and they always just keep changing things and there's nothing we can do about it.
I miss the old home VR worlds.
Any way to ever get those back?
Quest 3 controller fix
When i push my controller stick forward it doesnt register all the way. Is stops in the middle. Is there a fix to this?

I got my first VR game published!
Hi, I am really excited today because I got an email I was waiting for weeks, that my game is approved for the Meta Horizon store
It's a VR Archery Target Game with three modes: Time Mode, Perfect Ten, and Infinity mode
I have developed this game around 2-3 weeks ago, but on Meta Horizon, it was my first deployment, so I am getting revisions for changes
I would really appreciate it if you could have a look at the game and give your feedback on how that game is, and what upgrades I should do to make it a perfect game
You can search for "Archery Target" in the store to get my game, or if needed, I can provide the link in the comments 😄
ANNAPRO A3 Max Review. Quest 3 Battery Strap Tested vs BOBOVR S3 Pro
Hey everyone, I just tested the ANNAPRO A3 Max Battery Head Strap for the Meta Quest 3 and Quest 3S.
ANNAPRO sent it over for me to test, so I wanted to compare it with the BOBOVR S3 Pro, which I’ve been using for the last few months. Both are halo battery straps, but they feel different in real use.
In the video, I go through the unboxing, setup, comfort, magnetic battery system, wireless PCVR battery test, and a hands-on comparison with the BOBOVR S3 Pro.
Quick points:
ANNAPRO A3 Max is $59.99.
BOBOVR S3 Pro is $89.99.
ANNAPRO has a 10,800 mAh battery.
BOBOVR B100 battery is 10,000 mAh.
BOBOVR has the built-in fan.
Both have their own battery ecosystem.
I also tested it with Virtual Desktop while playing Forefront, and I got around 5 to 6 hours before both the Quest 3 and ANNAPRO battery were drained.
I’m curious what you guys think. Would you rather have the fan on the BOBOVR, or save some money and go with the ANNAPRO?

Introducing Kine: a Quest-optimized media player and entertainment hub
Hi everyone,
I’m introducing Kine, a Quest-focused fork of Kodi, the award-winning free and open-source media player and entertainment hub.
Kine is designed to make Kodi feel more natural on Meta Quest, with controller-friendly navigation, smooth playback support for HDR10, Dolby Vision, and Dolby Atmos, plus a built-in VR player for 3D movies.
The VR player supports MVC, SBS, and TAB videos in ISO, MKV, and MP4 containers.
You can join the ALPHA release channel on the Meta Store here:
https://www.meta.com/s/4js77bjH5
Please only request access if you’re genuinely interested in testing and providing feedback, as invites are limited.
Tips and Tricks
- New to Kodi? The Quick Start Guide on the Kodi wiki is a good place to start. It covers media sources, libraries, and add-ons.
- VR player controls:
- A button: Show or hide the OSD.
- B button / Left Menu button: Exit the VR player and return to Kine 2D.
- Right trigger outside the OSD: Toggle play/pause and show the OSD.
- Right thumbstick up/down: Move the virtual screen closer or farther away.
- Right thumbstick left/right: Scale the virtual screen smaller or larger.
- For automatic refresh-rate switching in 2D, set up Shizuku. Then set Settings → Player → Adjust display refresh rate to either Always or On start / stop.
- After setting up your sources, try switching to the bundled Arctic Fuse 2 skin (pictured) for a cleaner, more modern interface with customizable widgets.
- Long-click any video and select Play in VR to launch it in the VR environment. 3D videos will automatically open in the VR player.
- Having streaming issues with slow CDNs? Try enabling buffering under Services → Caching. This may help in some cases, although it can introduce artifacts when playing from faster CDNs.
- For streaming ISOs, make sure your connection to the CDN can sustain at least 150 Mbps.
Feedback
You can send feedback through the device or open an issue on GitHub:
https://github.com/vkapartzianis/xbmc/issues
Please don’t report Kine issues to the Kodi developers, as they are not responsible for Kine and won’t be able to help with Kine-related bugs.
Steam Link connection is now unusable!?
I used to use my quest 3 with the wireless steam link and had no problems whatsoever. I haven't used the quest 3 much in a few months and decided to give it a whirl and it won't stay connected for 5 minutes.
I tried a couple weeks ago and got mad and just played 2d. Decided to try it again and its still totally broke. I'm sitting less than 5 feet from my PC and the wifi, and the PC is using wired internet connection. Did some new updates break the Quest 3 or steam link or something? Is this happening to anyone else? I tried restarting my pc, the quest, and turning off hardware acceleration in display settings...still wont stay connected. I have no Idea what the problem is. Everything used to work great and now I may as well have a potato strapped to my head
