Rookie is running and working but...

i have not verified my dev account... as it wants passports and stuff.

I have read the rules, all the pinned posts, and i have searched the megathread.

hey there i recently noticed that without any warning all the ai / fake stuff on simpcity vanished. They claim it wasnt due to "pressure" and "they remove content it all the time upon request" but i dont think that's true to this extent. And the discussion threads on this are kind of hidden like its no big deal and locked.

But it is a big deal as this is the most exciting and advanced tech in human history and almost ever famous person on that site had an ai thread... all gone.

Apparently other sites also wiped themselves and ive checked and its all gone on every major site ive seen...

how can all sites suddenly be wiped of ai / fakes ... when theyre not even real...

anyone know whose behind this and is anyone standing up to them?

...as clearly simpcity isnt... :?

hey there i really want Jurassic park virtual table (i cant afford a real one) but the decals on the side of the atlegends one are low res and kind of bad. And i dont like the dino on the top at all.

So i was wondering

• if there are custom decals in hi res which match the original data east one but with some upgrades etc.
• I also want a TMNT ones but it comes in purple and black. I can handle purple but i want green legs and cab.. so does anyone offer a respray service ?

Looking to hire a 3d modeller who loves 40k etc

I'm hoping to hire / commission an experienced 3d modeller to design 3d print files with a view to printing them for personal play. Ideally someone who has 40 k experience (and loves necrons ;).

I'm trying to turn a 40k themed 2d cardboard board game into 3d so lots of tile , wall, furniture design based on what's already freely available.

Ideally the digital artists will be able to 3d print test pieces for their own references and be able to think about including space for LEDs and magnets etc.

All for a one off non commercial fan piece.

Budget depends if the final work is just 3d print files and or 3d physical prints.

EDIT: due to the number of replies i will be giving everyone the same voluntary test project. Everyone is expected to complete this small project to demonstrate theyre right for this project. I have a test project to help get rid of scammers and ai but its also deterring some artists so not sure what else to do...

I use PAYPAL which has buyer protection to avoid scammers. I do not pay without evidence of ability and I will ask for references at some point or a relevant posting history or a website and socials which i will message for POL. This is due to the overwhelming number of scammers and ai bots ive encountered. Thankyou.

Hello i wish to hire a 40k 3d digital modeller to produce 3d print files for a 40 k themed board game which involves necrons.

Ideally uk (or worldwide).

Ideally with a 3d printer so you can test what you're designing as it will need to be a printable modular game with tiles and walls, rooms and furniture... all using magnets and ideally LEDs.

So the artist needs to be able to either adapt existing 3d prints (there are many) or make new ones which can include magnets and LEDS.

I can supply the art work and design ideas and feedback and support etc. I have extensive pics of what i want and what we're trying to do.

The end product is just a fun fan game for my nephew and I to play together. This is not a commercial product though it will need to be to a high standard.

I have a budget based on what is produced and if the artists supplies the 3d prints as well as the print files. Thank you for your professionalism.

A year on... just finished Fireproof ghost town. I Was shocked and deeply saddened when ghost town ended... just as it was getting started.

And the ending we had was less than I was hoping for because it's part 1 of... 2 or 3? Also Adam sucks.

I have no idea how it sold but I worry all vr aaa has struggled...Was it expensive and time consuming to make?

It's very linear limited interactive walking narrative lead walking sim... but it's the best of its kind so would happly pay for more.

Hello. The quest 3 has an ambient humming sound which not only is super annoying but often randomly carries over into apps especially virtual desktop.

It's been a problem apparently for years and I've yet to see a fix.

• Are there any ways round this ? And any ideas why we needed a humming sound?

Hey so I wanted to check out the 3d effect for photos etc. And I uploaded photos6 from mobile to meta app.

And it said they had been uploaded and were now viewable in gallery in the headset.

But they're not there under recent or photos or anything.

The headset is casting to the phone so they must be connected. It says connected. But it's not updating photos.

windows vlc 3d animated films for vr vibrate and are unwatchable.

The main character seems to be steady but everything around the character vibrates constantly.

I have this issue on all my animated 3d vr films but not live action.

The issue is the same on all players so presumably a codex issue? I tried recording it but as the screen grabber wasnt 24fps it didnt pick up the worst of it. So its a frame issue ... i think..., i think animations run a different fps to Live action ...

• Any ideas what's going on here ?

edit: "Presented in full resolution, frame-sequential 3D at 48fps. This 3D format provides a higher quality per MB than SBS or OU. If your display can support this format, you should prefer it. Most LG passive 3DTV's can support this format. Meta Quest 2/3 now supports this format using the 4XVR app". frame sequential 3d seems to the issue.

Hey I have a sinden but it's very very fiddly for my dedicated custom cab and has constant issues so for an outdoor party projector I can't imagine it the best option? As it has wires for the recoil etc.

I saw some Pandora fun time 2 player guns a fee years back ...but then they vanished.

And I saw a crowd funded xgun weirdness in 24...

And the new RetroShooter Reapers look fun but apparently use snap targeting so aren't accurate?

But no idea what's easiest and most fun for a party projector where no one wants to be calibrating or configuring and it just needs to mostly work... Like an arcade etc.

• Is there a simple light gun set up for anything... but especially average brightness projector and ideally 2 player... in 2026?
