Distortion in Jabra pro 30s

Does anyone have experience resolving issues with distortion in the Jabra pro 30 ha?

I picked up a pair of Jabra pro 30s 2 weeks ago from Costco. They have distortion whenever they process any sound and have had from the moment I received them in the appointment. The tech didn’t seem to think it was a problem and so I hoped I might be able to make some adjustments and work around it but it to no avail.

I have my follow up appointment in 2 days and have tried to call ahead to see if there’s anything that can be organised in advance as it’s a 600km round trip for me but I haven’t managed to make contact

A Google search seems to indicate it’s not an uncommon problem and might be resolved by different receivers or possibly adjusting settings in the software.

I have very little faith in the technician being able to navigate the software and finding any relevant deep settings as both techs who work there expressed their dislike of the Jabra HAs and clearly aren’t overly familiar with the software so any prior knowledge of what to look out for would be of great help.

On a separate issue, I also realise the receivers I have don’t have the microphone + receiver in canal (m&ric) option which I thought were a feature of the brand and which I had trialled elsewhere (with Gn Resounds) and really liked.
Does anyone who has the Jabras have the m&ric? The Jabra website seems to indicate this is an option.
I realise it would be prescription dependent but as a different place recommended them and they worked well for me I am surprised they weren’t an option or discussed.
